Each year, Childsplay hosts a free playwriting workshop taught by our Artistic Director, Dwayne Hartford. Young people are guided through the stortelling process and at the end, they write their very own ten minute play.
They short plays are adjuditcated by the YETi ensemble (Childsplay's youth theatre troupe), and one script is selected to be entered into the National Playwrights for Change comepition. ALL script written are produced by the YETi Ensemble in a playwriting festival
Playwrights attend the event for free, and we invite the public to come watch the pieces live.
The showcase this year will be sometime in March. More info about the showcase coming soon!
Auditions are February 25th and we will be casting actors ages 5-18
