Sam Updegraff joined Childsplay last summer as an Assistant Teacher and Teaching Artist. Some technical theatre credits include Assistant Stage Manager for The Comedy of Errors and The Misanthrope, Assistant Director for Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and Director for The Other Room (GCU) as well as Director for The Lion King Jr., Frog and Toad KIDS, and The Importance of Being Earnest. (Phoenix Christian Prep.) Sam has also had the privilege of Stage Managing Y.E.T.I.’s production of Puffs. Sam started teaching theatre after graduating from GCU in December ‘21 with a Bachelor’s in Theatre and cannot wait to continue sharing art with young people.
