Kendra Kahl joined the Childsplay teaching team after moving to Tempe to begin her M.F.A. in Theatre For Youth at Arizona State University. Kendra has previously taught, directed, and performed with The Rose Theater, Lexington Children’s Theatre, IMAGINE!, Center Stage Dance Studio, and the Virginia Samford Theatre. Her favorite production credits include Judy Moody in Judy Moody, Acrobat/Dance Captain in Matilda the Musical, and Felicite Rose/Dormouse in Wonderland (Rose Theater); Peter Pan in Peter Pan (YTHC); and a one-woman show entitled The Amish Project (Samford & Samford Theatre). Kendra is also a playwright, and her musical touring adaptation of The Jungle Book performed at the Southeastern Theatre Conference TY Festival in 2018. Her newest commission, The One Between, will premiere in the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Kendra holds a B.F.A. in Theatre for Youth from Samford University.
