BRIGHTEN THE HOLIDAYS BY SHARING THE GIFT OF READING!

Simply bring your book with you to a performance and drop it in the big red wagon to help make a difference in a child’s life.

ABOUT THE REACH OUT AND READ PROGRAM

Southwest Human Development’s Reach Out and Read program promotes early literacy by bringing new books and information about the importance of reading aloud into the pediatric exam room. Reach Out and Reach targets children who are growing up in poverty and often at risk for reading and school failure.

Southwest Human Development, Arizona’s largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development, brought Reach Out and Read to Maricopa County in 1997. The program currently serves more than 70 pediatric clinics and distributes nearly 90,000 age-appropriate books to low-income children and their families each year.
