Take center stage with this skill-intensive performance class! Students will refine acting skills through the process of auditioning, rehearsing, and performing in a full-length play. Professional actors, directors, and choreographers straight off Childsplay's stages will direct Paws. The first two weeks of rehearsals are on our main campus and the last week students rehearse at the Tempe Center for the Arts with final performances at 11 am and 2 pm on Friday, June 19th.
About the Play:
What is the world like to our pets? What do they think about and what would they tell us if they could speak? The students in Ms. Irwin's class are presenting their show & tell stories about their pets: their favorite toy (all of them), the best way to sneak a treat, and why reptiles totally rule. Join us for this hilarious new stageplay written by Childsplay's own Kate Haas.
Note about Extended Care:
All extended care takes place at Childsplay's Campus for Imagination and Wonder in Tempe. During the final week of this class, when rehearsals occur at the Tempe Center for the Arts, young people enrolled in extended care will be transported between the theater and campus by Childsplay staff in company vehicles. Caregivers must sign a vehicle release for students enrolled in an onstage class and extended care.
