A short play full of major betrayals, ill treatment, and magic. The magician Prospero, exiled on an island with his daughter Miranda, plots revenge on the brother who usurped his throne with the help of the magical island creatures in his thrall in one of William Shakespeare's final plays. This class is an opportunity for students to learn a condensed version of a Shakespearean play in a week. Participants will gain experience with auditioning, blocking, script analysis, character development, and performance.
This class will conclude with a online sharing.
These specialized workshops are an opportunity to learn more about specific areas of theatre and performance. Varying skill levels and ages may participate in Theatre Intensives, although some previous experience is recommended.
