Through improvisation, script analysis and the study of monologue materials, students continue instruction in the fundamentals of performance. Students will begin working with a dramatic script to explore, characterization and motivations including objectives and tactics. Objectives describe what a character wants and tactics are the ways a character tries to get it. Young performers will learn more about how to identifying characters; objectives and how to vary the character's tactics in a scene.
This program includes a progressive curriculum culminating in a showcase on the last day of the eight-week term. Previous completion of Acting I or instructor recommendation is required to participate in Acting II.
