Here is your opportunity to get guidance and advice from professional film actors so that you can give your best audition on tape!
These specialized workshops are an opportunity to learn more about specific areas of theatre and performance. Varying skill levels and ages may participate in Theatre Intensives, although some previous experience is recommended.
Lillie Richardson, a professional Regional Theatre Actress joined Childsplay’s ensemble in 1988 touring with the company for several seasons and has continued to work as a teaching artist for the company. Ms. Richardson’s theatrical career began in such Childsplay productions as, Velveteen Rabbit, the Owl and the Pussycat, Once upon a Mattress and Embroidered Yarns. Her regional theatre credits include, Detroit 67, Lines In The Dust, Sunshine Boys, Rasheeda Speaking, The Women, The Bluest Eye, Fences, ( Best Actress) Wedding Band, ( Best Actress), Angels in America Part I and II, Doubt, King Hedley II, Death and the Maiden, Wit, and Speed the Plow.
Film and television credits include, Running with the Devil (w/ Laurence Fishbourne), Crash (Starz original series), This Bitter Earth; Truth about Jane; Young Riders; Seduced and Betrayed and The Fugitive, (Warner Bros.)
Jon Gentry is Artistic Associate with Childsplay and has been a member of the ensemble since 1981. Roles include Elephant in Elephant And Piggie: We Are In A Play!, Templeton in Charlotte Web, Toad in A Year With Frog And Toad and originated the Role of Benjamin in the Yellow Boat Other Productions outside of Childsplay include Anything Goes, Angels In America and Around The World in 80 Days. Jon was awarded a Lunt/Fontanne Fellowship in 2009 one of the first group to be awarded.
