Auditions

Childsplay will be holding general season auditions for the 2016/2017 season on Thursday, May 19th and Friday, May 20th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Campus For Imagination and Wonder, 900 S. Mitchell Drive in Tempe. Callbacks will be held on Monday, May 23rd from 4 – 8 PM.

Auditions are for non-Equity actors only.

Actors should prepare two contrasting monologues totaling no more than four minutes in length. A song may be substituted for one of the monologues. No accompanist will be provided. However, a CD player and iPod connection will be available. The total length of the audition must not exceed four minutes.

For our final production of the season, WONDERLAND, we will be casting actor/musicians. If you play an instrument you are highly encouraged to play in the audition! Even if you are not proficient, but feel you can become so by March 2017, we want to know that, too!

Childsplay values equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout our organization and programs. We acknowledge that differences in religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, class, gender, ability, and age help us to better tell our stories by reflecting the world on our stage.

Appointments are required for an audition. To schedule an appointment, please e-mail a headshot and resume to Anthony Runfola at arunfola@childsplayaz.org. No phone calls, please.

Please note that rehearsals for all shows are held 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday – Saturday.
