Teaching Artist

What would you do if money was no object?

Start a refuge for rescue animals of all kinds. A big place in the open air so they could roam and be happy, complete with veterinarians and people who love animals as much as I do, a place for children to visit, learn and enjoy themselves amongst all creatures. Oh, and I have a huge vegetable garden as well! I could teach the kids to plan, harvest and cook their own meals! Awesome!

What has been a turning point in your life?

I’ve actually have 4 or 5 turning points, one of the big ones was when I was 20, I went to Spain for a 4 month contract as a dancer, I didn’t speak Spanish or know anyone in the show, plus I only had $2 to my name, seriously! The producer left me high and dry with no return ticket to the states when the show closed, I’m thankful now because it turned into an amazing Spanish adventure that lasted 24 years, including starring roles in a few long running Spanish sitcoms, game shows and film work! Oh, and I still own a restaurant in Madrid! Long story! And SO much fun!
