It's easy to get involved with Childsplay! From volunteering to donating, there is something for everyone!

and Thank You to our 2013-2014 Season Sponsors >

Target

Target has been supporting Childsplay for years, as the major sponsor of the School Touring Program. School Touring forms the core of Childsplay’s operations, bringing professional quality productions into school cafeterias, gymnasiums, auditoriums and classrooms across the state of Arizona. Thanks to corporate sponsorship, touring is the most affordable way to bring theatre into Arizona classrooms, and 100,000 children benefit from the program each year.

The Steele Foundation

As Childsplay’s Storybook Preview Sponsor, The Steele Foundation helps Childsplay offer $12 tickets to all of our preview performances throughout the season. Families who attend Storybook Previews receive a free book along with their ticket, helping to build the connection between theatre, literacy, and a love of reading.

Helios Education Foundation

In 2011, Helios provided Childsplay with a research grant to implement a pilot program of EYE Play – a drama and literacy based professional development program for preschool teachers. Following the completion of the pilot, Helios awarded Childsplay major funding for three years of this project. EYE Play provides teachers with one-on-one training over the course of a year to integrate drama into the way they teach language acquisition and literacy in their classrooms. Currently nearly 300 children in 16 classrooms across the Phoenix area are benefiting from this program.

Doris Duke Charitable Foundation

A grant from Doris Duke provided major funding for Write Now, Childsplay’s collaboration with the Indiana Repertory Theatre. This workshop and convening will bring theatre artists to Childsplay from all over the country for a conversation about new plays for young audiences, and to develop four original scripts.

US Airways

As the official airline of Childsplay, US Airways not only provides Childsplay with in-kind travel grants that help bring in professional artists from all over the world, their “Do Crew” volunteers at major Childsplay events!

The Carol Critchfield Foundation

Also supporting Write Now, the Carol Critchfield Foundation is a local family foundation that has been deeply invested in Childsplay’s new plays program. Their funding helps Childsplay to create original plays that speak to the contemporary experience of being a child today. More than 60 plays have been developed through this program include Rock the Presidents, The Sun Serpent, and the upcoming The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
