A night of youth-lead theatre.
This festival is hosted and being planned and directed by the teen members of YETi (Youth Ensemble Theatre Inc). The scripts were written by Childsplay students and performed by actors of the community.
All proceeds go directly back to YETi, a program that partners teens with theatre professionals and empowers them to produce theatre from the ground up.
Concessions will be sold at the event. We accept cash, card, and digital cards.
We are currently accepting applications to be playwrights for this event. Emerging Playwrights will participate in a playwriting workshop that meets 4 times online and will be taught by Childsplay's Artisti Director and published playwright, Dwayne Hartford. By the end of the workshop, participants will have completed a 10 minute play. Each play will be directed and performed at a showcase hosted by YETi. One play will be selected by YETi members to submit to the AATE National Playwriting Competition.
Applicants must be in 6th-10th grade.
