A night of youth-lead theatre.
This festival is hosted and being planned and directed by the teen members of YETi (Youth Ensemble Theatre Inc). The scripts are written by Childsplay students and performed by actors of the community.
All proceeds go directly back to YETi, a program that partners teens with theatre professionals and empowers them to produce theatre from the ground up.
Concessions will be sold at the event. We accept cash and digital cards.
PLAYWRIGHT APPLICATION
Each year we accept six young people to participate in a free playwriting workshop lead by a professional playwright. By the end, each student will have written a 10 minute play that will be produced in a staged reading on May 5th & 6th. Space is limited - many will apply and few will be selected.
DIRECTOR APPLICATION
We are accepting application for 6 teens to direct a 10 minute script written by a young person. Directors will receive coaching from professionals and will be in charge of blocking and staging.
COMMUNITY AUDITIONS
To produce the 10 minute scripts, we will be accepting auditions from performers of all ages 8-100 years old. Some actors may be cast in multiple scripts. No experience required. You may email an audition video or participate in in-person auditions in February 2027.
