A green and furry take on the classic Charles Dickens tale, The Christmans Carol featuring popular holiday songs and characters. The Grinch is visited by ghostly figures in the effort to transform them into a kinder and gentler Who. It will take a whole lot of dance, song, and the joy of the holidays to bring this Grinch around.
Staged Stories gives students the opportunities to work on already written and developed short scripts. All students get a named character with lines (and solos) if they want them. We write and select ensemble focused pieces that allows each student to shine but not overwhelm them. At the conclusion of the class, students will perform 2 workshopped performances in our large rehearsal hall for their friends and families. We will focus on foundational performance skills projecting, movement, character, line delivery, memorization, and teamwork.
