Outreach Advocate

Purpose: Managing marketing outreach events, including but not limited to, camp fairs, holiday events and arts and culture festivals. Considered the “face” of Childsplay during the event and would be expected to interact with families, answer questions about Childsplay’s shows, and promote Childsplay programs and upcoming events. Advocate may also be responsible for managing a family craft or activity.

 

Scope of Work: Set-up table & activities (includes but not limited to, signage, displaying items, craft materials, fliers/brochures, etc.). Possibly manages and works with staff or volunteers for the day, clean-up and storage of materials, delivery of materials back to Childsplay’s Administrative office.

 

Skills/Attributes: Outgoing and Friendly Personality, Detail-Oriented, Organized, Experience managing people, Loves Childsplay, Experience working with children (personally or professionally)

 

Time Commitment: This is typically a weekend position. Schedule varies by event.  

 

Work Environment: Varies by event: schools, auditoriums, fields, etc. Some prep work may be needed at Childsplay’s Administrative office at 900 S. Mitchell Drive, Tempe, 85281.
