Get up to some merry mischief and join us in exploring beloved monster stories. Students will use collaborative storytelling to explore character movement and problem-solving. Come join their monster party!
In addition to the engaging theme, this week students explore physicalization. Training in mime, tableau, gesture, and expression help performers learn how to better express character and story physically. Learning how to communicate these with the body is one of the primary tools for an actor, and class with include activities to help young performers develop these essential skills.
This all-day class will introduce students to basic acting skills while exploring an engaging theme through literature and pop-culture sources. The course accommodates students from a variety of experience and skill levels and the week culminates with an informal sharing of material created by students during the week.
Extended Care is available for this program:
7:30- 9:00 am- $20 for week
4:00- 6:00 pm- $30 for week
or $15 per day
