What is the one thing you plan to do to change the world, even a little?
This may not change the world, but it definitely makes it a better place to be. I think one of the best things you can do for other people is to make them feel wanted and appreciated, so I try to do it every day. "I want to see you. You are important to me. I want to know what you think. Let's spend time together. I value your skills and abilities. I think you are great." These statements can make a huge difference in someone's day. I don't think we tell each other enough.
What is the Halloween costume you’re most proud of?
I loved dressing up like Punky Brewster. It was so colorful! Plus, I got to wear two different color shoes. After all, like Punky says, "I have two different feet, why shouldn't I wear two different shoes?"
What do you consider to be your oddest hobby/interest?
When I was in 4th grade, I was Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. A few years later, I had to do a 7th Grade History Day project and chose Judy Garland. I've been collecting Judy Garland and Wizard of Oz memorabilia ever since, and now have hundreds of newspaper articles, photos and artifacts. I've been lucky enough to meet some incredible people, including the munchkins, Judy Garland's family (Sid, Lorna & Joe Luft), and an MGM dancer who did movies and toured with Judy (Bert May). It's been really fun!
